Matthew Scheidt

Matthew Scheidt has over 10 years experience in the environmental services industry, specializing in property assessments, geologic and hydrologic investigations, soil and groundwater assessments, and site remediation. He has completed numerous Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM Standards. Mr. Scheidt has conducted soil and groundwater field investigations to evaluate site specific environmental conditions and to determine regulatory compliance and corrective action. Mr. Scheidt has overseen numerous Underground Storage Tanks (UST) and Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) system closures and regulatory investigations through the LSA, CSA, and CAP phases of regulation. He has also supervised drilling crews during subsurface environmental and geotechnical investigations. In addition, Mr. Scheidt has experience with geologic field mapping, remote sensing, wetland delineation, and drafting using AutoCAD. Mr. Scheidt is HAZWOPER certified and has been received NIOSH/OSHA and wetland delineation training. Having previously worked as a Sedimentation Control Inspector, Mr. Scheidt is familiar with the design and inspection of erosion control and storm water management structures. Mr. Scheidt has also worked for the National Forest Service and National Park Service.

Mr. Scheidt earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geology from Bucknell University. While at Bucknell, Mr. Scheidt completed an undergraduate thesis in soil chronosequence development on Blue Ridge debris fans.
